Civic Leadership & Community Impact

Warmest congratulations to M Health Fairview, recipient of the 2025 American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Foster G. McGraw Prize for outstanding community impact. This is a significant and great honor – it’s the first time in nearly 30 years that a Minnesota health system has received the award. You can read more here. 
 
Looking ahead I hope to see you at two upcoming events:

• 2025 VIP Vikings Training Camp Experience – Monday, August 11
• Compete l 25 – Wednesday, August 13 - we’ll explore the state of our regional economy – and how we’ll win in the future.

 
Last Thursday, I joined a group of civic leaders to sign a Civic Pledge for a Stronger Minnesota – a public commitment to dialogue, respect, and democracy. This pledge was created in the wake of the heartbreaking assassination of Melissa and Mark Hortman and the attempted assassination of John and Yvette Hoffman. The pledge calls on all of us to reject political violence, to lead with civility and courage, and to seek understanding even in disagreement.  Being Minnesotan means drawing clear lines around decency and shared responsibility. We must not allow our differences to become divisions. By signing, I’ve committed – as have many others – to help lead Minnesota with hope, honesty, and integrity. I invite you to do the same.
